How did we get here?

In the post-Christian society that we Christians are immersed in, the family and human life are under the fiercest attacks. Through a series of tragic decisions in the past 35 years, abortion on demand through all nine months of pregnancy is still the law of the land in the United States. This travesty that masquerades as law has claimed the lives of more than 50,000,000 innocent Americans — half of them would have been of voting age in this election. However, their voices have been silenced.

How did we get here? It was the fault of us Christians, and particularly us Catholic Christians. It was we who voted pro-abortion politicians into office. It was we who did not properly form our consciences before casting our vote.

Voting a Catholic Conscience

The presentation (available both online and in a format that can be downloaded) is written for Catholics. Many of us, like yours truly, were not properly catechized during our youth for number of reasons. Many of us did not learn that we Catholics have an obligation to properly form our conscience prior to acting. Further, we are bound to act only on a certain conscience.

The presentation is in two parts. The first part deals with the formation of a Catholic conscience. The second part rebuts a number of pro-abortion arguments using natural reason only. The error of direct abortion is so profound and indefensible that it can be refuted by natural reason alone — divine revelation is not needed. These arguments will help combat the error of direct abortion in post-Christian society and perhaps change peoples’ hearts.
